We caught 19 between us which includes 5 x 30, to 38lb and the rest 20’s and doubles

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

The crayfish were an issue so we caught all of ours on either CC Moore Cork Ball live system pop ups or plastic sweet corn. All fish came from in the margins on the opposite bank and one behind the island

Were the facilities what you expected?

The facilities were better than expected. You have a fridge in your own cabin and then a separate fridge, freezer, microwave and toaster in the kitchen. Very clean shower/toilet.

Were you happy with them?

Just completed a weeks session on Cabin 1. Following some advice from Bruno we cast up close to various features on the opposite bank (Within 6 Ft) and the runs soon followed. Two low doubles on the first day, 7 fish on the Sunday which included 2 doubles, 2 high 20’s and 3 x 30’s to 38lb. Torrential rain all day Monday/Tuesday slowed the fishing down but managed another 10 fish to 34lb giving a total of 19 for the week. The cray fish are an issue when fishing boilies so either plastic baits or hard cork ball boilies sorts this out. You are able to walk round the other side of the lake to bait up your spots so didn’t need to use a spod rod this week, although fishing in open water may have been more productive on the days it was raining heavy. Great facilities where you have a fridge in each cabin along with another fridge, separate freezer and microwave in the shared kitchen. Very clean shower and toilet. Overall a great week and I will definitely be returning at some point. Thanks Bruno Simond

We had 35 fish in total, 5 x 40s up to 43.5 1oz 42 sturgeon, 9 x 30s up to 38.12 and the rest were mid to high 20s with 2 below 20 smallest 14lb.

Simple Rigs, keep moving the rods around and baiting small areas.

General Comments:

Bruno is a top lad, can't do enough for you he has produces a stunning venue with some very hard fighting carp. The facilities are second to none.

Details of your catches:

We fished island 1. We caught 12 fish each upto 42lb, including the sturgeon. 40s ~ 2 30s ~ 8 20s ~ 11 Doubles ~ 3

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We fished 4 rods spread out along the far margin and into to corner under the tree cover, then 2 rods on the rear on the island to the 2 corners just off the bunker. Tigernut and Nutella bottom bait, topped with half a washed out pink pop up caught all our fish. Fished over party mix and pelllets from Bruno and crushed boilie. Listen to Bruno’s advice, he’ll tell you the best spots and what works to help you catch.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Better than expected, all the facilities were great.

Were you happy with them?

Yes very happy. Great having the cabin to get away from the rain. The shower s and kitchen were spot on, no complaints about anything.

Yes. It was our first trip to France and found using angling lines a hassle free way of booking. Always there to help with any queries.

General Comments:

Stunning lake, with some amazing looking and hard fighting fish. The lake owner Bruno is a great guy, really helpful and friendly. Came round every day checking everything was ok. Made us feel very welcome.

Details of your catches:

Multiple carp from 15 to 44.8lb. Average was in the 30’s. A friendly sturgeon too.

Simple rigs on tigernut or pop up.
