It’s was a bit of a slow week for us. The weather was against us. Warm days and cold nights with high pressure played havoc with the fishing. Still managed to catch 3 carp and Steve the sturgeon. My wife only had the one carp and lost Steve twice. Stupid Steve lol.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Best tactics was a 18mm live system bottom bait topped off with a pink pop up. Big beds of bait they seem to shy away from so if you put a big bed of bait out I’d only fish one rod on it and keep you options open. Small scattering did bait works best.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities are just what you want. Hot and cold running water with shower and toilet cubicle. Also a kitchen area with freezer and cooking equipment. Always keep clean and tidy.

Were you happy with them?

Very happy indeed with the venue. Bruno is a great host and always happy to give you tips on where to fish. Couldn’t do enough for us. A very big thank you to him.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

I would most definitely recommend it it others. You have plenty of water to fish too and loads of options. The cabin is great for people that would love a little more shelter.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

I would recommend angling lines to anyone. As it’s well run and any information and enquiries asked were asked quickly.

General Comments:

Great venue and just rebooked for early next year. So if that doesn’t say enough then I don’t know what does.

General Comments:

The lake is a credit to Bruno the owner, spotlessly clean and tidy. Have booked for next year already

Details of your catches:

29 fish in total. Heaviest being 40lb Common, followed by 37.5lb Mirror. Part of the catch showed 2 Koi 21 & 18lb, 9 fish over 30lb the rest under 30lb but all fish looked great condition.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

CC Moore Live System / Mainline Cell freezer Both tipped with Fake corn. All bottom baits fished over bed of particle/pellet mix mostly in open water. NO BAIT BOATS USED only spodding and stick to place freebees. Fish a good rod length away from the margins and the crayfish were no problem!

Were the facilities what you expected?

Excellent! Clean and tidy and with a bed and fridge help lighten the load for the car and when Internet was Offered WHAT ? Luxury !

Very enjoyable holiday stress free, 100% from Bruno top man, speaks good English

A great week was had by all with a total weight on 1105 lb of fish on the bank.
Ian had 6 carp ranging from 21.4lb to 32.12lb, Stevie the Sturgeon at 36.12lb twice and a pike at 10lb for a total weight of 251.6lb.
Richard had 15 carp ranging from 12.14lb to 33lb including two beautiful Koi for a total weight of 319.14lb
Jamie had 6 carp ranging from 17lb to 34.8lb for a total weight of 150.5lb.
Liam had 12 carp ranging from 17.8lb to 42.9lb including a cracking grassy and Stevie the Sturgeon for a total weight of 383.7lb.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Boilie over boated baits of boilies, party blend, pellet and hemp.
Tiger Nut over pellet.
Popup artificial corn over boated baits.
Keep tight to baited spots.
Do not ignore the margins or entrance to channel around islands.
