Our Catch report, THE BIGGEST 42 lb 3oz Mirror Carp Commons 21lb, 30lb, 25lb, 19lb. Mirrors 22lb, 23lb, 31lb, 19lb and 42lb. We did not fish any days as we were not in the complex. Surprisingly most of the fish came out early to late evenings or early mornings. Three cane out when it was dark. Lost 7 fish.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Had a great week at Bruno’s Lake. A wonderful site with excellent facilities and the cabins give more than adequate accommodation, with room to sleep comfortably and plenty of room for equipment and to set up your kitchen or cooking facilities. There is a fridge in the cabin and shelving to store your equipment. You do not need to take your bivvy or bed chairs, the beds provided are excellent. The kitchen in the main block was wonderfully clean and well equipped, as were the shower facilities. The lake and site was very clean and very accessible. Our host, Bruno, spoke excellent English so much so you would think he had been educated at Oxford. He was so helpful and knowledgeable about the local area and was always willing to give advice. Whilst there we visited the local town (Pacy) which offers a full selection of the usual shopping facilities and a fishing shop, which was well equipped. Whilst there we visited once again the Palaces of Versailles, which is about a 50 minute drive away, and also the Monet Gardens which is near the town of Vernon, only about a25 minute drive away. It is worth seeing some of Frances historic visitors attractions such as these whilst there along with your fishing.

General Comments:

Nice place, fishing is always hard. Bruno is very helpful and is always putting now fish in the lake. I will go back, will try a new lake first been to Bruno 3 years now.

Details of your catches:

We had a great week on the stunning lake with 20 fish between us biggest being 44.03lb. We had 5x40s 7x30s and the rest being over the 20lb mark. All the fish are in immaculate condition and are only going to get bigger. 44.2 43.3 43.0 42.9 42.2 38.5 36.10 35.3 34.9 34.08 32.8 30.12 Rest over 20lb.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We used a mixture of everything particle, pellets, tigers and lots of boilies. We took Mainline Cell and CC Moore Live System which worked really well. We were fishing with single hookbaits with pop ups and wafters. Listen To Brunos Advice.

Second To None!!! Everything was clean and well maintained. Shower was just incredible. A better more than we expected.

100% this lake is a true piece of heaven has everything a french fishing veue should have.

General Comments:

Bruno was a great host that speaks great english, he will help you catch fish and will even help you order pizza from the french takeaways. This lake is going to be very special in a few years and will have some unreal fish in soon. Defiantly be back in the near future.

Details of your catches:

One of the best fisheries I’ve been to. Bruno is great, nothing is too much trouble... the cabins were so much better than I was expecting. And showers/facilities were all very clean and well maintained. It was a hard week as there had been a cold snap and the lake was frozen when we got there but we cracked on and used the boat to break it up. We had four fish in total - a 15.8 mirror, 27.8 mirror, 30 common and a 40 mirror so all in all it wasn’t a bad week. I will definitely be back but in the summer next time lol. I would like to thank Bruno for all his help, top bloke.
