Facilities were excellent, everything I needed. Clean and tidy, with plenty of hot water for showers and fridge space for cold drinks

General Comments:

Gary & Ange run a fantastic lake with great facilities and some stunning fish. The carp here put up a good scrap and the surrounding area is full of wildlife and is very quiet.

Looking forward to coming back in a few weeks

Going with angling lines made it so easy nothing to worry about

22fish in total, biggest 44lb 4oz, catfish caught twice at 22lb, grass carp 26lb

Baits fished to specific spots using a bait boat, small amounts of bait as free offerings, best bait was lake supplied inferno topped with hit and run pop up or fake corn.

Angling lines have been superb during the covid pandemic, all questions answered promptly and in full, I can't thank the lovely ladies at angling lines enough!

General Comments:

The weather had changed dramatically during the 3 days prior to our arrival, and after a very warm welcome from Gary and Ange, Gary was honest about our chances of a good week. Gary was so helpful in fish location, rigs to use and feed levels (Gary certainly knows his lake and his angling ability is excellent, take notice of his advice) 22fish for 604lb was an incredible return given the conditions. The food package was superb, hot, varied, plentiful and of excellent quality (Ange really knows how to cook up a storm in the kitchen). All in all a fantastic week, great sport and lovely helpful and attentive hosts.... we will be back next year for the first lake 50lber....John,Luke and Roy (Avfc official)
