Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

IQ D rigs 10-12 inch. Poisson Chat are in the lake, not a big problem. Wrap baits or recast every hour. Had around 20 over the 2 weeks. Red spicy fish boilies supplied by Gilles plus I did take some Rhaja spice with me.

Yes, great facilities, everything required was available. Perfect family holiday.

Yes absolutely. Mind your head on the beams upstairs if you're 6ft 2 like me :)

Details of your catches:

I caught 25 mirror carp - ranging from 21lb to 43.5lb. 6 common carp from 15.5lb to 25.5lb. 7 grass carp from 17lb to 23.lb. 1 koi carp at 20lb.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

I used 20ml rajha spice boilies and bottom baits with a long hook link. Keep baiting to keep the fish interested! Gilles will give advice on the best spots and he knows what he's talking about. Listen to him! :)

Were the facilities what you expected?

Better than expected. The house is huge and very comfortable. The t.v has has a lot of channels in French, German and English. The wi fi is actually quite good for a rural spot! The pool and the surrounding valley is amazing. Couldn't ask for better.

Were you happy with them?

Absolutely.

General Comments:

Fantastic location and fantastic hosts. Gilles dropped by a few times to see how things were and if we needed anything. If we were in need of something he had no problem sorting it out as soon as he could. Highly recommended for an angling and family holiday combined. Can't wait to go back!

Details of your catches:

Didn't fish that much but even so it was slow compared with two years ago when we fished exactly the same...it was a very hot week and maybe that had something to do with it...caught around 5 carp compared to 25 two years ago.

Standard rigs but catfish were a huge problem.
