We fished days only 2 hours on Sunday afternoon then approx from 8 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday with 3 rods shared between our family
the children also fished - small poles for a few hours each day

15 fish caught in one week ranging from 19- 42.5lb.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fished tight to far margin in middle of the big two trees, fished at both sides of the island & stalked up at the narrow end of the lake. Used sticky bait- blood worm & Urban nutcracker. Used longshank snowman rigs & a claw rig with a hardened bottom bait. Used 20mm boilies & Korda boilie shrinkwrap around the hookbaits to deal with the poisson chat. Bait regularly.

Were the facilities what you expected?

The facilities were really good, everything you need for a family holiday. Supermarket 10 mins away.

General Comments:

Lovely villa in peaceful surroundings, Gilles & Sharon are great hosts & called in a few times to see how things were going. Gilles has a vast knowledge of the lake & is always there to lend a hand if needed.

2 Anglers, 63 Fish, 40 Mirror, 9 Common, 13 Grass, 1 Tench. Biggest - Mirror 47.5, Common 38, Grass 22.5

Spicy Baits work best, Quest Rahja Spice, Gurkka Spice, Gilles own Spicy Fish. Frequent Baiting with Stick, Rigs Korda IQ with Size 6 Micro Barb Kontinental Hooks with 2" Hair, Single / Double Hook Bait Wrapped. Fished between 8am and 8pm

Were the facilities what you expected?

3rd time to this venue, as always facilities are better than you expect.

Were you happy with them?

Only thing you could ask for is a hot tub and some bigger fish, sure this will come in time. Great family holiday, its not all about the size of the fish, this place is very nice and scenic.

If you want to catch some decent fish in a lovely place this is the place to go!!

19th Aug - 2nd Sept, 105 fish over 2 weeks, 1 angler with a 2nd stepping in on double takes. 2589lbs of fish, a 42.08 mirror within 3 hours of starting.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

IQ D rigs 10-12 inch. Poisson Chat are in the lake, not a big problem. Wrap baits or recast every hour. Had around 20 over the 2 weeks.

Red spicy fish boilies supplied by Gilles plus I did take some Rhaja spice with me.
