Most rigs caught, double baits and wrapped for the poisson chats. The spicy boillies may have had an edge, but not by much. Listen to Gilles his advice is excellent.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Definitely better than expected. As we were two families with 5 & 8 month ago babies we were pleasantly surprised how easy everything was; the accommodation and location of Mas Bas is just beautiful. The outside space was fantastic, 3 metres from the water, covered which was useful given it was approx. 34 degrees during the day. Kitchen and shower facilities were superb. Nearby Town with big supermarket within 10 mins.

Absolutely faultless

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Most definitely. The ability to combine family holiday with fishing with plenty of large carp must be a very rare thing to find. Of course Gilles's expertise and knowledge of the lake was spot on and the hired equipment was excellent. Sharon also gets a huge thank you for helping us with our baby who fell ill during the stay. Her support with navigating the French language and medical system was priceless. The hospitality we received was first class and we are already looking at the dates for next year.

General Comments:

The whole experience was excellent, a quick flight to Toulouse, hired a van and 1hr 20 mins to venue. Very straight forward. All the fishing gear was there upon arrival. Gilles and Sharon are so friendly and this certainly makes the trip. Best fishing trip we have had by a long way.

Anything that beat crayfish, Fox Arma mesh will may do the trick. We will be prepared next time.

General Comments:

It was baking hot 35c + or we would have caught more. Beautiful lake in private grounds, all very good. Booked for next year.

Details of your catches:

2 people fishing all week. 1 down far end of lake had 16 carp to 40lbs and 8 grass carp the other fishing fro the house caught 0 carp and 8 grass carp which we understand to be very low for this lake. Couldn't even catch a tench, roach or a black bass.

Be prepared for crayfish, we wasn't

Facilities are the best we have ever seen, everything and more than you could need even a dishwasher amazing. This sets the standard for a venue top quality and a credit to the hosts

For a family holiday yes, if you do not want to use a bait boat yes. If you want the best facilities yes but based upon our fishing result sorry no but I have seen lots of other people catching lots more fish than we did, we may have just pick the week all the carp went on a diet.

Were the facilities what you expected?

No they were better than expected. We visited in 2015 and they were good then. Since they have made improvements to the kitchen and the new shower is ace!
