Details of your catches:
35 carp in total fishing approx 6 hours a day, mainly evening. 1 x 45lb, 9 x 30s, 19 x 20s, 6 x doubles
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Critically balanced tiger nuts to overcome the cray fish. Carp aren't hard to catch if you put the bait in the right places, usually where they show. No real feeding patterns as weather changed from rain to sun over the 2 week period.

General Comments:
We had a great 2 weeks at Mas Bas. I enjoyed the fishing and the family enjoyed relaxing around the pool and visiting all the local villages. Also caught lots of bream which Giles knows about and is going to tackle. Lesley and Giles were very friendly and informative on the local area and happy to help.

Details of your catches:
3 x 30s, 5 x 20s, 9 x doubles, approx 60 grasscarp(!), 1 x tench, 1 x koi and a turtle! Lost about 8 more big fish due to some dodgy fluorocarbon hooklinks that kept snapping.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Single, small high vis pop-up (2 inches) over scattering of bottom baits. I tried bigger baits (2 x 20mm) to pick off bigger fish, but the bites stopped (apart from grassies, bream and crayfish). The grass carp were a real annoyance - any hemp or sweetcorn would attract them, so the choice is either fish over beds of boilies and sit it out, or attract everything that swims with a high attract spod mix and then plough through all the grasscarp until the proper carp turn up.

General Comments:
This is our second trip, and we will be back again. Fishing the Main Lake. Most fish came early in the week when the weather was cooler. At one point I was only fishing with one rod as it was just too manic! Most fish came between dusk and dawn, and almost bang on certain times. If you can crack the fish movements, you will have a lot of fish. I found it was not worth fishing during the day as it was extremely hot and bites were few and far between. Use the day to bait up and rest your spots, and just make sure the rods are back out for bite time! Even with just two of us and being relatively quiet, it was obvious that halfway through the week the fish had moved to the far end away from the noise. It is worth moving if your companions don't mind you being anti-social! (I didn't move!)

All fish caught on Raja Spice 20mm + a bright pop up. Some times fished alone, sometimes with up-to 40 freebies. Tried groundbait, but just got lots of little fish.

Gilles and Leslie were great, and the lake is truly beautiful. I think I will be back as I left without one of the 40's!!
