Details of your catches:
Best catch weighing in at 43lb 12oz. On an average day 12-14 fish were caught ranging from 15lb to 43lb 12oz. Overall the quality of the fish were in excellent condition and well looked after.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Keeping it simple and not over feeding the fish.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Exceptional. The kitchen was immaculate and had everything you needed. The swimming pool was all we needed to add to our relaxing holiday.
Were you happy with them?
Beds were comfortable and it was added bonus having a washing machine to wash the boys fishing clothes before leaving.
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Definitely. It was perfect in every way. It was great for the boys fishing while the girls chilled out in the pool and read a couple of books. I have not known a holiday to be so relaxing and the view was amazing, one I don’t think you could ever get bored of seeing. The small town close by was lovely and had a good bakery and supermarket. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
Definitely. It was a first for us trying a holiday like this and it has to be one of my favourite holidays. The service and quality of the property was outstanding.
General Comments:
It is the only holiday that I have not craved for more. The view, watching and enjoying the boys fish along with the pool, good company and a good book was all that was needed along with the excellent wine from the local supermarket.

Details of your catches:
Great week at the main lake. Caught 46 in total, including a 50lb Mirror, several 40's and many 30' and 20s. Mirrors, Commons, Grass and 1 of the lovely Koi. Fished 8 rods always during the day and not all day.
Sticky Krill with a fake corn topper trying different colours, white, Yellow, pink and orange. Red and white seemed to be the best. Inline and lead clip simple blow back style rigs anything from 6 - 10 inch seemed to work well.
Fishing to the far bank left side of the house and to the out in the middle on the right side as far as the fountain. Carp came from alll spots and steadily improved in numbers thru the week with Friday producing 22 carp from all areas. The temp dropped from 30 to 20 with a wind on the Friday perhaps that or last baiting on the Thursday night kicked them into action.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Simple blow back rigs, 20mm Sticky Krill with a fake corn topper. Tried a zig rig at various depths and areas for 3 days with not a single bleep. Fish all came off bottom bait tactics. Poisson chat can be a nuisance so a recast every hour if nothing has happened can be useful. Carp all fight like brutes are in the main in great condition. Anglers can defo help keep it that way with some basic carp care, handling them well and using some first aid / antispectic sprays. Micro / barbless is a must.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Brilliant place. Family had a ball - swimming pool was well used. The house is so comfy and the outside areas allow you to keep the rods going while taking some time to relax.
Were you happy with them?
Yes

Amazing place. Gilles and Sharon put so much effort into making your stay a success. And, give you plenty of space to enjoy your holiday. Second time to Mas Bas on both Lotus and Main.

All in all its a brilliant place. Local area is also super interesting. Love seeing all the Agriculture going on and even lucky enough to see the Tour de France this year.

Details of your catches:
Only 4 rods used between the 4 anglers, and 2 of the anglers fished only occasionally. A total of 60 fish were landed, a mixture of Grass, Mirror, Common, a single Koi and a small bream. Several days were spent out sightseeing, so only 2 full days fishing undertaken. On the remaining days, fishing was limited to a couple of hours first thing, and a few hours in the evening. The 40's remained elusive, but everyone caught a few 30's, the best being a frustrating 39 1/4 lb! The remainder were all 20's with the exception of about 5 in the high teens
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Gilles supplied Sticky Krill boilies which worked well, as did our Sticky Manilla fished tight to the overhanging margins using a bait boat. Runs occurred very quickly, often before the bite alarms were set, and it was not unusual for 2 or 3 fish to be on at the same time. On occasion the biggest hinderence to catching was waiting for the bait boat to become available!
Were the facilities what you expected?
As expected. Everything that was needed was there, and was of a high standard. It was all clean and tidy when we arrived.
Were you happy with them?
Yes very.

General Comments:
A very enjoyable weeks holiday. It was just as much a family trip to the area as a fishing holiday. Sharon and Gilles were perfect hosts and had plenty of suggestions for places to visit, resaurants, and all the local shops and markets. Thank you both.
With regard to fishing please listen to Gilles and follow his instructions. One of his comments when we arrived was "One rod fished well will land more than several fished badly". And he was right!

Details of your catches:
82 carp caught, biggest 47.5lb. Multiple 40’s and lots of high 30’s.
42 grass carp (32lb biggest)
29 mirror (biggest 47.5lb)
8 common (biggest 36lb)
2 leather (biggest 40.5lb)
1 koi (12.5lb)
Also 3 bream, 1 zander and numerous small cats caught.
Just 2 anglers fishing with 2 rods each, fished mornings and a few hours in the afternoon/evenings. We lost one days fishing when we had bad weather (heavy rain). Second trip to the lake and learnt a lot from first trip, making the fishing prolific.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Keep it simple! You don’t need loads of bait, just a few boilies each cast is enough to bait up. If you put lots of bait out you will catch more Grass carp. You absolutely do not need a bait boat on this lake, you can cast it anywhere from the island on the left to the right side aerator and be on the fish.
We Fished fairly close to the margins where possible but if you don’t cast it that far you will also catch. Keep the hooks sharp and the rigs fresh, the fish have stronger mouths than the UK. You don’t need more than 2 rods each, it just becomes a problem when you get multiple takes. We fished 1 rod each for a lot of the time.
Almost all the fish were caught on a single Krill boilie. We mostly used Ronnie rigs size 4 or 6 hook.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes, our second trip and as before was great for us.

General Comments:
We had an amazing trip. Great fishing throughout nice weather on all but 1 day. We were able to watch lots of the Euro footy tournament between fishing.
Listen to Gilles, he knows the lake well and is very knowledgeable and happy to help.
We treated this as more of a ‘holiday with fishing’ and it was very enjoyable. We will be back in the search for the 50lb+ fish!
