News from Deux Iles lake

★★★ Deux îles report to 18 March ★★★, 18th Mar
Both cabins were busy the week of March 18. Jon and his son Oscar were here for the first time and Danny and Luke had already been before in April 2016.
After only a few hours of fishing Danny caught the first carp mirror of 32lb. Having missed a few fish, Luke finally caught a beautiful koi of 20lb on Sunday. It was also during the first night that Oscar on the other island opened the ball with a beautiful mirror of 32lb, new record!
During the week, 13 carp in total were caught, Luke and Oscar each caught a 39lb mirror at the end of the week, a new record for both!
2 x 39lb / 3x30 to 34lb / 6 x 20lb / 2 x double
There was no fisherman last week. The weather conditions are much better at the moment and 4 fishermen are present at the lake. Six fish have already been caught! We'll keep an eye on this!

★★★ Deux îles report to 11 March ★★★, 11th Mar
I had the pleasure of welcoming the first fishermen of the season last Saturday! Vincent and Jon were alone on the lake for this first week! With fairly pleasant temperatures and still cold water they still managed to catch some fish! Vince smashed his record with a 35lb 14oz and both of them caught six carps in total:
3 x 30lb / 1 x 20lb and 2 x double
It was very nice to meet you guys and I hope to see you again soon! A fantastic season opening, the season to come looks very good.

Deux Iles Receives Additional Stocking, 7th Feb
The lake received another stocking of 59 mirrors and commons to 35lb. We look forward to seeing some of these on the bank later this year!

An Interview with Deux Iles Owner Bruno Simond , 10th Aug
During his recent trip to Deux Iles, our field tester Mike Linstead took the opportunity to find out a little more about the lakes owner, Bruno Simond and his fascinating journey towards setting up his exciting lake.
'At 23 Bruno Simond is one of the youngest lake owners in France. As a dedicated carp angler from a young age he has committed a huge amount of time and effort into developing his skills as both an angler and fishery manager.
I had the pleasure of spending some time on the bank with Bruno, to delve under the surface of his journey and find out what led him to create one of the most promising exclusive-booking carp lakes in the country.'
