General Comments:

I was very lucky when picking this venue as I live in Spain so it was an easier drive. The accomadation was spot on. My wife and daughter and dog arrived at 8.30 in the evening and was met by giles, who helped unload all my kit and then sent us to the local restaurant which he booked for us. What a nice start! (by the way I recommend this place to anyone) First thing Sunday morning saw me picking my swims. I opted for the small lake as this looked perfect, the main lake did have a problem with the weed and poor giles was at a loss as to how to get rid of it. He had treated the main lake with some very expensive chemical to knock it back and by the time I was leaving it seemed to be kicking in. Both giles and lesley and there little fellow were all very nice and helpfull and if you asked they would do what they could to help. This is by no means a runs venue but when you consider that there's a chance of a 40 - 50lb carp.... well, thats got to be why we do this sport aint it!!! You will mainly catch during the night so go out and see the sights during the day. The 25lb common was a pb for me and as for story of the one that got away,,,,,, two lost, and two hook pulls, and i know that one if not two were upper thirties maybe even the big uns! So to sum up this venue.... if you've got a family and you know how to fish I cant see any reason why you shouldn't catch. PS. can I just say that all the girls at Angling Lines are spot on, all my questions answered as honest as possible. Thanks very much to you all.

General Comments:

Beautiful lake and accommodation. Just a shame that the fish were not prepared to feed.
